Our Verdict:
The Nuvi 780 is a good, feature-advanced GPS device. With added MSN Direct enhancements, you are virtually able to check on any concern you may have while you travel. You can check out news and local events, get movie listings, compare gas prices or steer clear of traffic congestion. The unfortunate thing is that Garmin has just announced that MSN Direct access is available only till the end of 2011. The traffic features give you a closely accurate predicted arrival time for you trips and provides you the most recommended routes to take for your trips, long or short. Route optimization also allows you to simply input all your planned destinations for the day, and the Nuvi 780 will do the sorting for you and find you the most efficient route to follow. Overall, the 780 is a well-performing GPS although its high tech features are not yet free from the bugs. |

Customer Feedback-
"Even though I'm a master with maps, the Garmin suggested a clever routing that I did not previously discover on my own. From what I've seen so far, the 780 will be a highly valued addition to my road warrior kit bag. I can recommend the 780 without reservation." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I'm underwhelmed by MSN Direct with regard to either the timeliness or accuracy of traffic condition reporting. Too often a snarl or an accident has just occurred and MSN hasn't reported it yet or a problem that MSN does report has already been cleared." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "This GPS gives you all the directions you need pretty accurate, MSN traffic needs to improve on this, its usually delayed most of the time it tells me traffic is there but then I find no traffic" - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "Purchased the 780 Garmin for the traffic reporting and bluetooth. However, the traffic reporting is of poor quality and I live in the Los Angeles area. The Garmin (255 WT, I believe) with the FM Receiver is much better and comes with a lifetime subscription -- Also, the bluetooth on the 255 seems to work better." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com |
