Our Verdict:
The GolfLogix GPS by Garmin is a simple hand held GPS unit that provides basic tracking readouts needed for your golf training. Knowing exactly how far you are from the hole allows you to train your strokes and improve your performance on the golf course. The best thing is, this device is perfectly legal and has been sanction by the USGA for assistance in distance mapping. Its quite compact and lightweight, and fits into the palm of your hand very easily. Distances in yards or meters can be displayed, and you have the options to choose from the front, back, or center of the green. Hazards, bunkers and water are also included. Probably its best feature is the auto-advance capability which allows you to proceed mapping the next target after you have completed your shot on each hole. No need to tinker with buttons, the GolfLogix GPS does it for you! |

Customer Feedback-
"Obviously, Garmin knows GPS. It is very solid and sturdy. When I bought it I found that three of the courses that I play were not mapped. I requested them and in one week they were available. The unit is small and easy to use. It will increment holes automatically when I walk to the next hole. Most of the time I do not need to press any buttons. I would definitely recommend Golflogix." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I had one of the early models made by SkyCaddie, and this device is far superior. It's easier to use, holds 20 downloaded courses (as opposed to 10), finds the course you are at (as opposed to scrolling through a list), is waterproof (as opposed to water resistant), cost far less to get a one year membership to down-loadable courses, and turns on in seconds with distances (as opposed to minutes). The 2008 model measures the distance from your last shot so you can tell how far you are hitting each club." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "So far the gps works fine, but it seems to be eating batteries much too quickly. At first I assumed I was using cheap batteries so I switched to Energizers and still can't get a full round out of a set. I'm now waiting for the weather to warm up a bit and see if it's the cold dragging them down. I love how it works when it's working, but, it sucks to play 12-15 holes and then see a "low battery" indicator come on!!!" - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "Very please with my purchase. The Garmin GPS works as advertise, all I have to do is turn it on and it recognizes which course I am on. You can download 20 courses. It gives accurate yardages front, center and back of green and to doglegs and hazards. My favorite feature is measuring yardage of tee shots. I don't want to play without it." - Actual User Review - Amazon.com |
